Watch : how Arsenal ended 42-Years worst run in nine minutes

Arsenal’s nine-match winless streak looked set to reach 10 after a lifeless first half, in which the Gunners conceded. They were booed off at the break.

For almost an hour they were characteristically woeful and listless, then out of nowhere, Gabriel Martinelli scored his first league goal in his first league start, clinically finishing a cross from the left by Sead Kolasinac in the 60th minute.

Arsenal suddenly came to life. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang collected the ball outside the box and fed it outright to Nicolas Pepe, who curled the ball past goalkeeper David Martin to put Arsenal in front.

Moments later, Arsenal carved West Ham open again, Mesut Ozil fed Pepe on the right, and his cross found Aubameyang, who was just onside to fire in a crisp volley.

Three goals in a quickfire nine minutes from the Gunners prompted West Ham fans to depart the Olympic Stadium in droves.

The win lifted Arsenal to ninth in the standings.

Inter have failed to get beyond the Champions League group stage for a second successive season after losing 2-1 at home to Barcelona, with Ansu Fati’s late winner making him the youngest scorer in the competition’s history.

The Serie A leaders needed to at least match Borussia Dortmund’s result against Slavia Prague due to being level on seven points before the game, but the Germans emerged 2-1 victors to secure their progression as Inter were made to rue their own wasteful finishing.

Champions League: Here Is Why We Think Chelsea, Liverpool May Not Qualify For Round Of 16

Chelsea and Liverpool go into their final group matches of the Champions League on Tuesday, in danger of missing out on qualification for the next round.

The Blues host Lille at Stamford Bridge, while the Premier League leaders are away to Salzburg.

Frank Lampard’s men need to win and will progress, whatever happens in the other group game between Ajax and Valencia.

If they draw with the Ligue 1 side, then they will be relying on Ajax beating Valencia in Amsterdam.

Liverpool, who are the current holders of the trophy, need to avoid defeat in Austria.

A win or a draw will see Jurgen Klopp’s men qualify, while they will also go through no matter the result, if Napoli lose at home to Genk.

Arsenal suffer Bellerin blow moments before west ham clash

Hector Bellerin has been injured in the warm-up for Arsenal and was replaced by Ainsley Maitland-Niles for Monday’s league fixture against wEST ham United.

Arsenal were monitoring Bellerin’s fitness after he made his comeback from injury against Brighton. Sadly, the Gunners who have won just one of their past four matches at the London Stadium in three attempts will now have to wait on news as per the duration of the injury.

The Gunners have failed to score on their last two visits to the Hammers – since Alexis Sanchez scored a hat-trick in a 5-1 win in December 2016. However, no side has beaten West Ham more in the Premier League than Arsenal, who have done so on 29 occasions.

Arsenal who are winless in nine games in all competitions (D5, L4), their worst run since a 10-match run under Terry Neill in 1977 have not won in six away league fixtures (D3, L3).

They have now equalled their lowest points tally (19 points) after 15 matches of a Premier League season (first set in 1994-95).

Carlos Tevez reveals Rooney gave him a his own Lamborghini when Man Utd team-mates teased him about driving an Audi

Argentine footballer, Carlos Tevez has revealed he was ridiculed at Manchester United because of the Audi car he was driving before one of his teammates gifted him a Lamborghini.

According to the 35-year-old striker, who spent two seasons at Manchester United after he joined them in 2007 from West Ham United,  England and Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, handed over the keys to a Lamborghini when he discussed the situation with him.

Carlos Tevez reveals Rooney gave him a his own Lamborghini when Man Utd team-mates teased him about driving an Audi

‘At Manchester United training, players would turn up with a Ferrari or a Lamborghini,’ Tevez told Marca. ‘Everyone, even the worst player, would have a Ferrari.’

‘I turned up in the Audi that the club gave you and they all bugged me about it, as if it was a Fiat 600. I spoke to Rooney and, the crazy guy that he is, he told me ‘take the Lamborghini’.

Tevez, who made sixty-three (63) appearances and scored 19 goals for the club, added: ‘I went, without registering, around Manchester with this car, he gave it to me.’

WOW! Pep Guardiola Reveals The Man United Stars That Destroyed Man City

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has admitted that his side had no answer for the speed of three Manchester United’s attackers in their 2-1 home defeat to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men on Saturday.

According to the Spaniard, Man City could not cope with the pace of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Dan James.

Rashford won and converted a penalty before Martial struck to give the visitors two goals lead in the first half.

Nicolas Otamendi’s late goal gave City hope of a comeback, but Solskjaer’s United held on for a valuable win.

With the defeat City fall 14 points behind leaders Liverpool, with their title defence in tatters.

“I like how my team played,” he told post-match press conference.

“We conceded a little bit more, not than usual, but than in the last years against United.

“We knew with the pace they had [Dan] James, [Anthony] Martial and [Marcus] Rashford because sometimes it is not possible to control it.

“In general, we did what we like. We arrived in the final third many, many, many, many times. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish a little bit more but I like to watch my team. I know nobody agrees but I like it.”

Tammy Abraham reinforced his importance to Chelsea by scoring the opener and setting up the second on his return from injury as the Blues returned to winning ways against Aston Villa.

Abraham missed the Blues’ home defeat by West Ham with a hip injury and put them ahead against Villa with a firm header from Reece James’ cross.

After Villa equalised against the run of play when Trezeguet bundled in, Chelsea regained the lead shortly after the restart when Abraham neatly chested Willian’s cross into the path of Mason Mount who thumped in a volley.

Ballon D’or 2019: Senegal Player Reveals Reason Why Messi Won Ahead Of Mane

Ballon D’or 2019: Senegal Player Reveals Reason Why Messi Won Ahead Of Mane
Ballon D’or 2019: Senegal Player Reveals Reason Why Messi Won Ahead Of Mane

Senegal midfielder, Cheikhou Kouyate, has said his team-mate Sadio Mane was overlooked for the Ballon d’Or, because he is African.

Mane finished in fourth at the event on Monday, behind Lionel Messi, Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a fine 2019, scoring 54 goals for club and country last term, as he helped Liverpool to the Champions League.

Mane also led Senegal to second place at AFCON and Kouyate insists his teammate would have landed the award had he not been African.

“For me this Ballon D’or is for Sadio Mane, there is no doubt about that.

“Listen, if Sadio was a Brazilian or a European there would not have been no debate.

“It would have been him for the award straight away and it’s not because I play with him at international level, or because I know him, it’s just what people who watch football feel.

“Just go back and watch what he did for both club and country and you will see in between the lines that no one has been better than him.

“We all know that Messi is really good, maybe the greatest player, but last season come on.

“Maybe I have to speak to him to up his social media game and start wearing expensive stuff to stand a better chance.

“Maybe it’s not just football that they look at because there is no way three people had a better season than him.

“It’s just unbelievable how some people are judged but that is not fair,” Kouyate told Mirror Sport.

I can’t clean, can’t iron, can’t cook- Jose Mourinho explains why he chose to live for 3 years in a hotel than living in his own house while at Man Utd

I can’t clean, can’t iron, can’t cook- Jose Mourinho explains why he chose to live for 3 years in a hotel than living in his own house while at Man Utd

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has reflected on his time as manager of Manchester United and says he has no regrets of his time at the club.

Mourinho was often criticized by club fans for not renting or buying a house while at Manchester but rather chose to live in a hotel for the 3 years he spent at the club, with fans believing he never really saw his long term future at the club that was what he never got a house.

I can

But Mourinho who now coaches Tottenham and lives in his own house with his wife and kids in London, has stated that he didn’t buy a house in Manchester because of he was not able to do domestic duties and that he would have never been a happy man if he had to live alone.

‘Is it strange (that I stayed in a hotel)?’ he asked. When the question was put to him by reporters ahead of Man U’s clash with Tottenham .

‘You know how I would be unhappy? I would be unhappy if I was in a house on my own.

‘I would have to clean, I don’t want to. I would have to iron, I don’t know how to. I have to cook, I would cook fried eggs and sausages — that’s the only thing I can do.

‘I would be very unhappy. I lived in an amazing apartment, it was not a room. It was mine all the time. It was not like after one week I had to leave.

‘No, it was mine. I left everything there, I had my television, my books, my computer. It was a flat, but with, “Bring me a coffee latte, please,” or, “I don’t want to go down for dinner, bring my dinner up”. I had everything. If I was in an apartment alone it would be more difficult. I was fine, more than fine.’

Mourinho still insists he had a good time at Manchester United and even carried photographs from his time at Man United to his new office in Tottenham’s training ground.

‘It was good because I managed to win something, some nice things and do some nice things. On the opposite side, I learned and I think I’m a better coach now.’

With me it’s about the fans but also about the people that I worked with. The fact I can get on my phone and speak with (United director) Richard Arnold, the fact Ed Woodward can call me to wish me good luck. The fact the kitchen man, chef, calls me to ask me how I am. This kind of thing, I had it at every club and that for me is the best thing.’

I was hurt when Cristiano Ronaldo won his fifth Ballon d’Or’ – Lionel Messi reveals

I was hurt when Cristiano Ronaldo won his fifth Ballon d’Or’ – Lionel Messi reveals

In a new interview, Messi revealed that he was hurt when Cristiano Ronaldo joined him on five Ballon d’Or triumphs, claiming that the Portuguese will be experiencing similar emotions after he failed to show up at the 2019 Ballon d’Or’ ceremony.

“On the one hand, I enjoyed having five and being the only one,” Messi told France Football. ‘When Cristiano moved level, I admit that it hurt me a bit. I was no longer alone at the top. But it made sense, although it was good when I was alone at five.

“Was I frustrated in the last few years? Let’s say I understood why I did not win. As a team, we had not achieved our major goal, which was to win the Champions League, which gives you more chances to win the Ballon d’Or.

“When Cristiano Ronaldo won it is because he had achieved great seasons by winning the Champions League and being decisive. It was deserved, there was not much I could do.

“Did I feel injustice? It’s up to you to tell me if the Ballon d’Or is awarded to the best player or the one who enjoys the best season.

“It is also down to individual taste. Some prefer Cristiano, others myself or Neymar or [Kylian] Mbappe. People have the right to choose the one they like most.”

“Do I understand Ronaldo’s frustration? It is something that we live, feel and express according to our own way of being.

“Once again, the collective titles are the most important thing, even if the individual trophies are rewarding. When the Ballon d’Or eludes you, everyone reacts in their own way. But when you are a top athlete, you always want to win.”

The Epl Table after today

Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho was the unlikely hero for Leicester City as he came from the bench to score a 94th minute winner for Leicester city as they  beat Everton 2-1 at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Leicester City started the match with basically the team they have played all epl matches with this season, with Johnny Evans anchoring the defence, Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi manning the midfield while Jamie Vardy stood upfront for Leicester City.

Everton, desperate to improve results and keep the job of it’s manager Marco Silva safe, stared with a 3-4-3 formation with Richarlison as the striker and Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi manning the wings.

Richarlison scored an early header in the first half for Everton, and Everton’s defensive line made it hard for Leicester to break through.

The Epl Table after today

But Iheanacho who has lacked playing time in the premier league thing season, was brought up from the bench in the second half to set up Jamie Vardy to equalize.

Then with seconds to end the match, Iheanacho scored a last-gap winner that was initially ruled out for offside before VAR overturned the decision.

The defeat leaves Everton just above the relation zone while Leicester city are now just 8 points below premier league leaders, Liverpool.

Solksjaer on the brink of sack after disappointing Manchester United share the spoils in 2-2 draw with resilient Aston Villa

Victor Lindelof and T.Heaton’s own goal, were not enough for Manchester United, as they laboured to a 2-2 draw with one of the premier League’s most resilient teams, Aston Villa.

The Epl Table after today

Aston Villa opened the scoring through Jack Grealish in the 11th minute despite Man U’s preferred defensive partnership Maguire and Lindelof anchoring the defense.

Not too long after, Victor Lindelof made it 2-1 for Manchester United in the second half and two minutes later, Tyrone Mings’s put in a volley, to make it 2-2.

This result was no less than Villa deserved on an afternoon when United looked lethargic, redundant and ponderous on the ball.

BREAKING NEWS!! Another Premier League Manager Sacked (See Details)

Quique Sanchez Flores has been sacked by Watford, just 85 days after he was re-appointed for a second spell in charge of the Premier League club.

The Spaniard, who replaced countryman Javi Gracia after four games of the league season, won just one of his 10 Premier League matches.

Watford suffered their eighth league defeat in a 2-1 loss against fellow strugglers Southampton on Saturday, which saw them remain bottom of the table on eight points and six adrift of safety.

The decision was taken after Sanchez Flores met with chief executive and chairman Scott Duxbury along with owner Gino Pozzo on Sunday, with the appointment of a successor described as “imminent”.

“Quique is a man of great integrity and it was clear how much he wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately results have dictated our decision,” said Duxbury in a statement.

Frank Lampard Speaks After West Ham Shock Chelsea At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, has reacted to his side’s Premier League 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on Saturday.

A second half goal from Aaron Cresswell ensured Manuel Pellegrini’s men defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

“Generally, collectively we could have handled that game better,” Lampard was quoted by Football London as saying at his post-match press conference.

“This isn’t the worst thing for us as long as we react in the right way.

“There will be moments like this. We weren’t going to be Invincibles, we have to pass little tests. We can do more going forward.”

Lampard added:

“It will pan out itself over the course of the season. I still believe in the squad. That will be questions that will be asked. I do believe in the squad.

“There isn’t a time for harsh reactions or judgements. It is a look for a bit of character.”

[A Must Read] See The 4 Things We Have Learnt From Arsenal & Man Utd’s Poor Form (No. 3 Is True)
[A Must Read] See The 4 Things We Have Learnt From Arsenal & Man Utd’s Poor Form (No. 3 Is True)
Arsenal & Man United, 2 of English football biggest clubs are in crisis. Both sides are struggling for consistency and you wonder how long this will go on.

Arsenal though are sick and tired of it as theysacked manager Unai Emery on Friday.

Solskjaer hangs on at Man United, but his time will certainly be up if this horror show continues at Old Trafford.

Below are the 4 Things We Have Learnt From Arsenal And Man Utd’s Poor Form:

1. Lack of Confidence

This is a particularly important concern for both clubs.

Both sides have players that have lost the plot.

Defenders keep making errors that lead to goals while attackers record more shots off target.

2. Poor Manager-Player Relationship

Managers are always sacked for this recurring behaviour in modern football.

How can you manage a business effectively without having good relationship with your staffs?

When the coach and the players are not in good rapport, it’s a recipe for disaster.

Take Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka for example, it’s obvious the lads were not happy with the Manager Unai Emery. He eventually got fired.

Same disagreement between Mourinho and Pogba at Manchester United. The special one was subsequently thrown out.

3. Players Simply Tired Of Their Manager

I was so irritated when I saw both Arsenal and Manchester United’s Europa League Results.

They were both leading at half time and it ended up in defeat. The body language of the players tell an obvious story.

4. Poor Tactics

Different Managers with different style of play, some are defensively minded while others want to attack.

It’s important to always try new things and adapt in a highly competitive league like the Premier League.

Antonio Conte famously did it during his time at Chelsea. After losing heavily to Arsenal, he brushed up the defence; introducing 3 men at the back and the result was a premier league title in his first season.

Thank you all for reading 🙏

What Are The Other Things You Have Learnt From Arsenal & Man United’s Poor Form?

Let’s hear from everyone

WILL IT HAPPEN? Suarez Reveals The Chelsea Striker To Replace Him At Barcelona

Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has identified Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham, as one of the players that can replace him at the LaLiga club.

Suarez recently admitted he is aware the Catalan club is looking at long-term options to replace him in the No.9 role.

And the 32-year-old feels Abraham could be the man.

Abraham has been in stunning form for Frank Lampard’s side in the Premier League, leading to admiring glances from Suarez as he watches on from Spain.

“Obviously there are many very good young people who are playing.

“I personally have certain strikers that I look at because I like to watch their football, whether young or old.

“One is Abraham, the “9” of Chelsea. I think it’s a very good forward, with a very good finish, and moves very well despite how young he is,” Suarez told One Football.

The bus conveying the players scheduled to play Jigawa Golden stars at the Kano stadium on Sunday December 1 was attacked in Kabba, Kogi state.

No life was lost in the attack but it was gathered that the driver and a player were hit by bullets fired at the bus.

Chairman of the club, Chukwuma Ubah who confirmed the attack told newsmen “Our bus was attacked by gunmen in Okene. The driver and a player was hit by bullets fired at the bus. They have been taken to a hospital nearby where they are being attended to. We thank God that no life was lost.”

The Club in its statement said the players were attacked by a gunman who wore NYSC uniform. Injured victims of the attack which ocurred by 1:30pm today have been taken to the hospital.

“This is to inform the general public that at about 1:30pm today, players of FC Ifeanyi Ubah (Anambra Warriors) who were travelling to Kano for their scheduled NPFL match day 6 fixture against Jigawa Golden Stars ran into a group of armed robbers dressed in NYSC uniforms, operating at Kabba junction, near Lokoja in Kogi state,” the statement read.

“To the glory of God, no life was lost. However, the driver was shot while some members of the coaching crew and players were critically injured. The affected persons are currently being treated and are responding to treatment.

“We wish to use this medium to appeal to the Federal Government as well as football regulatory bodies; Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) and the League Management Company (LMC) to further intensify security efforts to ensure the safety of teams who often have no choice than to travel long distances by road, especially clubs owned by Private investors who are made to invest their hard earned money in the growth and development of Nigerian football.

“Conclusively, fans, well wishers, supporters and Nigerians in general are kindly urged to keep the entire management, coaching staff and players of FC Ifeanyi Ubah in their prayers in this moment of despair.”
